Public classes

Whatever your age, level of fitness or amount of pilates experience you’ve had, there is a class to suit you. All sessions need to booked in advance, see the ‘How to book’ page for details and prices.

Principles Class

All participants are required to attend this session prior to starting the foundation-level classes. You will learn the five basic principles of STOTT PILATES® which are the building blocks to every exercise. This session can be repeated as many times as desired.

Foundation Classes

These sessions will reinforce the basic principles and build a foundation of exercises in both matwork and reformer. The reformer is the signature piece of equipment in pilates and you will learn how to use it safely and effectively.

Mat/Reformer Classes

Once you feel confident in your foundation class you can move to these more challenging sessions. Here you will build upon the foundations to expand your exercise repertoire in both matwork and reformer. Small accessories such as flex-bands, foam rollers and fitness circles may also be incorporated to increase the resistance or encourage greater core stability to challenge clients.

Back Care Class

This specialist class is for clients with minor back care issues to allow the instructor to tailor the sessions for those with similar limitations and abilities. Attendance in this group class will only be possible after a consultation with one of our instructors qualified in injuries and special populations.

Total Body Conditioning

This more challenging workout conditions the body in a varied and functional way utilising a variety of accessories and equipment to leave participants feeling invigorated.

Private Sessions

A private session will allow the instructor to focus on your individual needs by developing a programme shaped purely for you. Sessions are available as one-to-one or semi-privates up to a maximum of 6 people. Clients coming from medical referrals, those who are pregnant or rehabilitating from injury will be required to start with at least one private session and can only move to the group sessions when the instructor recommends it is safe to do so.

Specialist Group Sessions/Masterclass

Throughout the year specialist group sessions and masterclasses will be introduced to the timetable to offer particular client groups (i.e. seniors, pre/post-natal) a class specifically designed for them. These classes will be open to clients who have attended a minimum of 10 foundation classes or 5 private sessions and will be available periodically as advertised.
